GetUp! and Bike for Climate Change!

Join your fellow Australians in Climate Change awareness! While we have all the necessary ingredients to mitigate and adapt to climate change we still lack the political action.

Let’s light the way forward to a safe climate future!

FITZROY Ride with the Climate Torch (racing all over Australia) on: Saturday
30th August
Where: Edinburgh Gardens rotunda
Meet: 10.50am.
Ride: 11.00am.
Remember: Safety first! Helmets must be worn and road rules adhered to.
Arrive: We’re heading down St George’s Rd & Brunswick St to Fitzroy Town Hall arriving at 11.30am.
After: BYO food, drink and picnic rug (we’ll provide Twister and frisbees). If the weather is good we’re holding a community picnic at Fitzroy Town Hall’s park. Then What? Brunswick representatives collect the Climate Torch on tandems at 1pm from our group of Fitzroyals!

Organisers: a couple of locals looking to make a difference by helping GetUp!’s Climate Torch Relay. Call Jules on 0421472116 with any questions.

Bicycle Film Festival

You are all cordially invited to the opening of the first Melbourne Bicycle Film festival. I’ve been hanging out for this for a long time, and now I’m going to miss it… Someone please make up for my lack of presence by inviting a friend along to help in the festivities. The launch is on the 21st, which means, TOMORROW NIGHT!

Details are (or just click on the image above):

Seventh Annual Bicycle Film Festival Launch, November 21st, 6-8pm, Section 8, Container Bar, Tattersalls Lane, Melbourne, AUSTRALIA.

Not only is it great that Melbourne is getting the BFF, but you’re also spoilt by five days of events, fully detailed in the Program, and media releases One & Two.

Enjoy, nick
