I was merely quoting Velonews, and my point was the silly relativism of marketing. Ie prior to the release of new Red, old Red is 'fine', post release old Red is now 'awful'.
It is true I don't actually own SRAM, nor have I spent many hours behind the wheel of it either. Having said that I have 5600 posts worth of fixed.org experience which is the internet equivalent of 'senior online bike mechanic', isn't it?
my rival, when set-up properly, shifts fine. i run a compact crank though, so i can leave it in the biggie for most hills.
