Wow! So nice. The fact that you had to wait so long for this frame makes it even better. I imagine you have a tonne if respect for the bike
I dont think we'll be seeing it on eBay any time soon![]()

Thanks for all the comments guys. Just got in from another awesome session down at the track with it. It's true that if f I'm not making my Jens face in a sprint for the line I'll be grinning from ear-to-ear while riding it.
To answer some questions I have two other track bikes, one is the Healing which is a wall hanger, and the other track bike is a Corex and it started its life as my commuter and has gone back to fulfilling that role after a brief stint on the track. Funnily enough the Corex and De Rosa share a bit of history as the framebuilder of the Corex apprenticed under Yoshiaki Nagasawa who apprenticed under Ugo De Rosa.
Cello bar tape is on the shopping list but I needed something to get it rolling so the cloth stuff had to do for now.
Spirito you are once again a fountain of knowledge. I'm pretty sure I've heard the story you refer to, the guy in question recovered three at the same time:
Chances are it could be the one on the left but I can't be sure. The low serial number certainly points to the possibility of it being one of the team bikes.
Big Ring Riding: Eddy. Roger. Cobbles. Mud. The fucking pandemic of pain these two are laying on the peloton is the only Wattage meter they needed.
That's a bit special. Very nice. Worthy of a porn appearance IMO.

Beautiful! The stem... incredible!
Those photos are so exciting! I cant imagine coming across something like that! How did he find them spirito? and did he fork out for them?
This bike is so great too! a bike id love to own. Would love to see it as it would have been built up originally but as a track bike its perfect all the same.
From what I can remember I think he found them at a garage/petrol station just by random. Got chatting, and eventually "come out back and have a look at these" sort of thing.
I'll shoot a message to my "consiglieri" in Italy and ask him to refresh my memory as it was a cool story .. especially the chatting with Ugo in person stuff. I'll post back with any info he has to say and if he has any other pics or info that may confirm if Antmandan's is perhaps the same one.
